Wie schon in den beiden vergangenen Jahren veranstalten wir auch heuer ein Sommerfest gemeinsam mit der IHK Schwaben. Dieses Jahr haben wir uns den Schwerpunkt Indien ausgesucht.
Noch bis vor kurzem stand Indien in den Köpfen vieler für Begriffe wie Entwicklungsland, Kastenwesen und Planwirtschaft. Heute feiert die Berichterstattung den Subkontinent fast unisono als neuen Stern am Globalisierungshimmel.


Das Land scheint geprägt von Gegensätzen: Reichtum neben bitterer Armut, High Tech neben Analphabetismus, wirtschaftliche Hochdynamik neben überbordender Bürokratie. Doch was wir als trennend und hinderlich wahrnehmen, ist für Inder durchaus harmonisch vereinbar. So bilden Tradition und Fortschritt, Mystik und Marktmacht das Sprungbrett für eine erwachende Nation auf ihrem Weg zur Weltmacht.
In einem einführenden Teil mit hochkarätigen Referenten werden wir mit Informationen zu Hintergründen, Zusammenhängen und Sichtweisen den „indischen Schleier“ lüften.
Danach sorgen indische Speisen, Dekoration, Musik und Tanzdarbietungen für Sommerfestlaune.
