Augsburg International e.V. ist Mitveranstalter als Partner vor Ort des Deutsch-Französischen Jugendwerks, der Communauté des Villes Ariane – Gemeinschaft der Arianestädte und des Vereins Peuple et Culture, Paris.
Augsburg ist hierbei die erste Station für drei Interkulturelle Seminare, die Reihe wird in Barcelona und Kourou/Französisch-Guyana fortgesetzt. Jeweils 10 Jugendliche aus Augsburg, Frankreich und Spanien werden über drei Wochen hinweg gemeinsam Elemente einer Wanderausstellung erarbeiten, die sich rund um das Thema Raumfahrt und ihre Auswirkungen auf unser tägliches Leben dreht.
Ziel der Seminarreihe ist es, Jugendliche zwischen 16 und 18 Jahren durch die gemeinsame Bearbeitung eines Themas für Offenheit gegenüber Altersgenossen anderer Herkunft zu gewinnen. Die gemeinsame Arbeit und das Begleitprogramm werden den jungen Leuten die Möglichkeit geben, Europa hautnah zu erleben. Daneben sollen sowohl Jungen als auch Mädchen auf die europäische Raumfahrt-Technologie als mögliches Berufsfeld aufmerksam gemacht werden.
